Chapter 14: The Time of Finishing the Mystery of God

The 2300-day prophecy and the finishing of the gospel in the soul.

Hands-free narration of this study — good for the car.

Synopsis

A. T. Jones connects the 2300-day prophecy of Daniel 8:14 to the 'finishing of the mystery of God' mentioned in Revelation 10:7. The 'mystery of God' is profoundly defined as 'Christ in you, the hope of glory'—the living manifestation of the divine nature within human flesh. Jones teaches that just as Christ's earthly life was a perfect demonstration of God in the flesh, the final generation of believers will provide a second demonstration. The year 1844 marks the commencement of the final phase of Christ's ministry in the heavenly sanctuary's Most Holy Place. This phase is not merely chronological but functional, aiming at the complete eradication of sin and the perfect reproduction of Christ's character in His people. When this work is complete, the mystery of God is 'finished' in them, vindicating God's character before the universe and signaling the end of human history. The prophecy thus identifies the specific era for this spiritual culmination.
