Spiritualism and the Great Deception

Synopsis

Spiritualism, rooted in the foundational error of the immortality of the soul, has evolved from nineteenth-century 'rappings' into a sophisticated tool that now imitates Christianity. In the final crisis, Satan will employ miraculous power to deceive both Protestants and Catholics. He will manifest as an 'angel of light,' professing faith in the Bible while simultaneously promoting war and disaster to destroy the unprepared. The crowning act of this drama will be Satan's impersonation of Christ. Appearing with divine splendor, he will heal the sick, preach deceitfully, and proclaim that he has changed the Sabbath, drawing the world into his worship. He will perform 'fire from heaven' as proof of his authority. The only protection against these powerful, supernatural delusions is a firm commitment to the Word of God, rightly understood. Only those who have fortified their minds with Scripture and are walking in obedience to the truth will be kept from the strong delusions of the enemy. The study emphasizes that we must not even once submit our minds to these influences, as they lead directly to destruction.
