Study 12 of 19

The Significance of Christ’s Humanity to Us

The incarnation connects our redemption, assurance, and hope to a real human Saviour.

Hands-free narration of this study — good for the car.

Synopsis

In chapter 12, Sequeira examines the significance of christ’s humanity to us within the larger question of Christ’s humanity and the everlasting gospel. It is the humanity in which He represents us and accomplishes our redemption. As truly human and truly divine, He brings the human family into saving relation with God. Revelation gives genuine knowledge, but finite minds cannot exhaust its mystery. Christ’s saving history supplies the foundation for every dimension of redemption. The study invites the reader to test the author’s argument with Scripture and apply it without losing either Christ’s sinlessness or the priority of grace.
