Synopsis
Against the backdrop of total need, Daniells sets forth Christ as God's complete provision. Christ is made unto us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption; He is not merely the teacher of a way of salvation but salvation itself in person. Daniells stresses that the gift is a Person, that it is offered freely, and that the whole of Christian experience consists in receiving and retaining Him. Nothing is left for the sinner to supply except the empty hand of faith.
Key points
- Christ is not a means to righteousness; He is our righteousness.
- The provision is complete before we contribute anything to it.
- Faith is the hand that receives, never the price that purchases.
- To have Christ is to have every blessing wrapped up in Him.
